About Healthy Boundary Society

“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be.”

– Tom Landry

If ever there was a circuitous path and life journey, Lissa’s is it. Born in Manhattan, Lissa attended grammar school through 6th grade in NYC. Her family moved to a small town in upstate NY where she graduated from high school. Lissa has a bachelor degree in journalism and public relations from Utica College of Syracuse University. Right after college, Lissa worked in various jobs in publicity for the NBC Television Network in NYC and Chicago.

She moved to Los Angeles to work for the Walt Disney Buena Vista Television Studios, and eventually left the publicity side to move into local television news production. A series of life-threatening and life-changing events shifted the life-path for Lissa once again, and in 1999 she embarked on a spiritual journey of discovery and learning that led her to the Fuller Theological Seminary. She graduated in 2003 with a Master of Divinity degree and was ordained as a pastor in 2010.
