Life Coaching Questions
What’s the difference between Life Coaching and therapy?
From the client’s perspective the differences are subtle. Typically therapists, in the traditional sense, have to be licensed in the state where they work. By law they can only work with clients in that state. Life Coaches and Counselors are certified, not licensed, and are therefore not limited by state laws, as to what clients they can see. Lissa sees clients all over the country.
What if my issues need a different kind of support?
Part of the intake process is assessing what the client’s needs may be. In the event that the support offered by Healthy Boundary Society is not appropriate, Lissa can refer to other mental/emotional/medical health providers for different levels of appropriate support.
How long are the sessions? Where do you see clients?
Sessions are 50 minutes and can be virtual via Zoom, FaceTime or Facebook Messenger Video or, in special cases, in-person if needed.
Do you take insurance? How much does it cost?
No. All services are private pay. The intake conversation is free of charge. Pricing and payment options are discussed at that time. Payment is appreciated the day of each session.
Is Healthy Boundary Society Life Coaching and Counseling a long-term thing?
That all depends on the issues being addressed and the individual client. There are no “cookie cutters”. Lissa has had some clients whose issues were resolved in a matter of months and others who have been working with her for years. There are no rigid formulas. Lissa and the clients assess the need and progress on an ongoing basis. There are no contracts, and clients can stop the work at any time.
Do you coach teenagers and children?
No. Clients must be 21 years or older
